The 0018VA Isolation Transformer is designed for Ground Isolation in data transmission systems. Input and output connectors are insulated from ground and from each other.

Isolation transformers are usually unbalanced to unbalanced with equal input and output impedances, i.e. one to one turns ratios. Their purpose is to discriminate against spurious voltages resulting from the flow of undesired currents between the LO sides of the source and a remote load.
