通过力值测量装置测量和评估试样在被穿透和分裂过程。早在1934年，二卢德维克教授和J.Krystof发现在维也纳举行的有关断口表面能，在两个相反排列的刀片之间切断铸铁工件的负载可以直接关系到抗拉强度。这种方法跟拉伸试验比，其优点是简单直接，更能直接反应表面能。因此，这种测试为提供高铸件的质量提供一种必要的方法。

This device runs with measuring, controlling and
evaluating electronic unit. It has a LCD-display and a
numeric keyboard. The measuring results can be PC-
evaluated optionally.
A safety device prevents anybody from reaching the test
chamber and the specimens from splitting when testing.
